A Letter from Our Founder
Throughout my career—from Big Four accounting and financial analysis to investment banking, venture capital, and entrepreneurship—I have focused on finding cost-effective solutions that produce compelling returns.
BarVision may be one of the most compelling.
Beverage sales represent one of hospitality’s highest-margin revenue streams. Yet for an enterprise operating 50, 100 or 500 locations, corporate management has remarkably little visibility into how individual locations are performing, how their performance stacks up, and where the greatest opportunities exist to increase revenue and profit.
Traditional liquor-cost and inventory reporting do little to compare performance across locations—and virtually nothing to identify the root causes of lost revenue and profit.
BarVision can—because BarVision owns a unique data source: the actual pour.
By connecting pour-level data with POS transactions, our Beverage Performance Intelligence Platform creates unique performance KPIs—including paid drink yield, revenue realized and lost per bottle, overpour frequency and amount, and more. Management can compare locations, identify trends, and focus attention where the greatest opportunities exist.
Once you can see the problem, improvement is often relatively easy.
The economics are powerful—often generating tens of thousands of dollars of incremental annual profit per location. For publicly held and private-equity-owned companies, every dollar of that profit is worth many more in enterprise value.
And we are only beginning to unlock the value of this unique data.
I believe Beverage Performance Intelligence will ultimately become a standard enterprise management resource wherever beverages are served.
You can’t improve what you can’t see. BarVision makes it visible.
If you are responsible for beverage performance across an enterprise—or evaluating companies in which you invest—I invite you to reach out to me directly. I would welcome the opportunity to share what BarVision could reveal across your business.
